The brief was to take a mass market brand and elevate it into a higher price point. Flogers has been around since 1872 making coffee in San Francisco since the gold rush started. Now Folgers has become a national known brand and is heavily watered down and easily mixed into the rest of the sub-par coffees. With one of the richest history in the coffee business this was a bench mark that Folgers has not tapped into.
